Rheumatology deals with a very wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from inflammatory joint disease to back pain, minor trauma and psychosomatic disorders and as such it often overlaps with specialities such as Orthopaedics, Neurology, pain syndromes and general medicine; since detailed diagnosis is the major part of the management of any Rheumatology case, a good working knowledge of these specialities is essential.
