Mr Khitish Mohanty


Mr Khitish Mohanty is an expert is orthopaedic trauma and lower limb arthroplasty surgery. Since 2004 he has been working as a Consultant at the Cardiff & Vale University Health Boards. He also has practicing privileges at the Nuffield Health Cardiff and Vale Hospital and the Spire Hospital, Cardiff. Mr Mohanty is fellowship trained in complex trauma and pelvic and acetabular injury and provides a tertiary referral service for pelvic and acetabular fractures for South East Wales. Mr Mohanty specialises in other complex limb trauma and post- traumatic reconstruction. Mr Mohanty’s elective practice is based at the University Hospital of Llandough andhe carries out a high volume of hip and knee replacements. He also specialises in elective conditions of the pelvis including post-pregnancy pelvic conditions. Mr Mohanty specialises in minimally invasive surgery of sacroiliac joint and is known to be an opinion leader in that particular condition. Mr Mohanty has approximately fourteen years experience in preparing medico-legal reports as a professional expert. Mr Mohanty is an honorary senior lecturer at Cardiff University and is currently the Training Programme Director of the Welsh Higher Surgical Orthopaedic Training Programme. Mr Mohanty has numerous peer reviewed publications in both trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery and teaches in prestigious courses including AO Advances course.
